A rider in a fur hat galloping a white horse across a stony valley below snow-covered peaks

CHAPTER 03

Riders of the High Plateau

Still being shaped: a mounted crossing of Nepal's far north-west, travelled at the pace of the old salt caravans.

The Idea

A route we are still riding ourselves.

Before any season is offered, we travel it. This one follows the high trails once used to carry salt south and grain north — days in the saddle, nights with the families who still keep horses for the crossing. Dates, group size and the final line of the route are being settled on the ground. Join the priority list and you will hear first, before it is published.

While It Takes Shape

What we can tell you now.

Comfortable, not expert. The horses are local, sure-footed and used to the terrain; we will share the riding days in full once the route is fixed.

Be first to hear when the route is set.
